Computer Technology and Digital Literacy Classes
Classes are created to meet the needs of adults whether touching a keyboard for the first time or needing to learn many programs. Classes will teach adults to navigate the internet, write emails, word processing, or play games.
English as a Second Language (ESL)n Classes
Designed to assist adults in improving their communication and listening skills in English, ESL classes help English language learners to read, write and converse in English more fluently. Adults are also given the opportunity to learn to integrate into the multicultural environment in which we live.
Parenting Classes
F.O.C.U.S. understands the importance of communication between parents and their children. We also know it may be challenging, at times. Parenting classes may help.
F.O.C.U.S. offers parenting classes that will:
Discuss the various states of child development
Improving family communication
The importance of non-aggressive disciplinary communication
Improving the relationship between the parents


For Children
Children’s Choir
F.O.C.US. offers a children’s choir. Operating under the artistic direction of Dr. Lisa Leveque, the F.O.C.U.S. Children’s Choir is a place where all children ages 4-14 are welcome to join. No auditions are required for the F.O.C.U.S. Children’s Choir as Dr. Leveque believes everyone should join in the opportunity to make Music and enjoy fellowship with other children. The repertoire of Classics, Pop, Broadway, Negro Spirituals and Patriotic songs partnered with choreography and sign language enhance their choral experience to inspire children to emerge as young artists and composers.
Tutoring is available in: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Music.
Computer Technology Classes to help learners navigate their chromebook and home Technology. They will also learn the importance of cyber-citizenship.
– F.O.C.U.S. Social Club is to help children and youth become confident articulate individuals through the art of conversation and social skills. What they will learn:
-Fundamental table manners. Place settings and proper use of utensils and napkin.
-Meeting and greeting adults vs. children and a proper handshake
-Suggestions for handling bullies
For Older Adults
With F.O.C.U.S., older adults may reaffirm their self-worth through:
-Mentoring youth
-Provide tutoring to children and youth
-Chair yoga classes for their own strength training
-Digital Literacy classes to keep them up to date.
-Meet and greet luncheons and, outings for opportunities to interact with their peers
